Approval Schedule Changes/Delays/Updates Info
The best way to stay up-to-date on any delays or updates concerning Marketplace Approval timelines and processes is by joining our Partner Discord Channel. Invites to the Discord channel are sent out during the Marketplace Application process, but you can submit a help ticket if you need a reinvite.
Once you have submitted a Marketplace listing for approval, it is placed in the approval queue for review. Each item is reviewed by Roll20 Staff and will either be approved or sent back to Draft status with notes on what needs editing/fixing.
Storefront Verification
Every Partner on Roll20 starts out as Unverified to ensure they have a chance to become accustomed to how they need to submit items for the Roll20 Marketplace. While Unverified, each item submission will be reviewed closely by the Marketplace Approvals Team to ensure items are built correctly, meet our quality and community standards, and are optimized for sale. Once the requirements to become Verified are met, your items will be approved without an individual review.
How to become Verified
Our guidelines to become Verified are:
- have at least 10 published products on the Marketplace
- no AI art in products after May of 2023
Is it possible to lose Verification?
Verification is tracked internally and may be revoked temporarily or permanently at the discretion of the Marketplace team. The best way to ensure Verification status is maintained is by closely QA’ing your own products (especially Adventure content) prior to Activating them for the public.
What is the Content Approvals Schedule?
Content Approvals are processed daily Monday-Friday. All items submitted before 10 AM PT on a given day will be addressed by the next business day.
*NOTE: This schedule is subject to flex on rare occasions due to the observance of holidays and/or staff availability, or extreme fluctuations in the volume of submissions.
Approval Notifications
There is currently no notification system in place to announce when a Marketplace submission has been approved or sent back for revision. if you are waiting on one or more approval(s), you should check your Item Management Page after 10 AM PT each day.
Sendbacks
If your item did not meet Approval qualifications, Roll20 will send it back to your Drafts tab with a note on what needs to be updated prior to re-submitting.
Approval Notes
Items on the Approvals tab of your Item Management Page are ready to be activated, but also may include notes from Roll20 on them. These notes offer suggestions or instructions for item activation or for future submissions.
Test your Module/Addon Items Before Activating Them
If your submission is an Addon or Module, we recommend creating a game with the approved content before you activate the product on the Marketplace. Creating a game from the Marketplace product after it's been adonized/modulized will reveal any typos, broken image links, or any other missing elements that are easier to fix before any purchases are made. If you notice anything wrong after testing your product, submit a help ticket and let us know what's wrong.
Notes and Submission History
If you ever need to reference the submission history of an item, and/or are looking for a record of notes between you and Roll20 Marketplace staff, you may view the "History" button to view a record. (Note: items created before July 2021 may not have a History log.)
Item Updates and Re-Submissions
