The Item Management Page is where all of a Partner's product listings are created, submitted, and activated on the Roll20 Marketplace.
If you have any remaining questions about anything outlined below or need further assistance, please contact us through our web form and we will be happy to help.
Item Listing Submission Workflow
Creating, submitting, and publishing Roll20 Marketplace items follows this workflow:
- Create your Marketplace listing and set it up from the Draft tab. If your item is only meant to be for sale on a Supported Marketplace like DMsGuild or Pathfinder Infinite, select the Supported Marketplace ONLY option when prompted.
- Once all requirements of your listing are filled out, Submit your item listing For Approval.
- Your item listing is placed in the Pending queue for Roll20 Marketplace Staff to review. Content Approvals are processed daily Monday-Friday*. All items submitted before 10 AM PT on a given day will be addressed by the next business day. If you meet certain requirements, your items may be automatically approved. You are limited to 5 submissions per week; if you need a temporary reset of your submission limit, please request this in your Submission Notes and include the reason.
*NOTE: This schedule is subject to flex on rare occasions due to the observance of holidays and/or staff availability, or extreme fluctuations in the volume of submissions. - The following happens based on the staff's review:
- Your item listing is Approved by Roll20 Staff and your listing is sent to the Approved tab
- or
- Revisions are needed and your item listing is sent back to the Draft tab. Notes will be added to your listing on edits that are needed to meet approval requirements. Resubmit for approval once when you have finished your revisions.
- Listings moved to the Approved tab are not yet live on the Roll20 Marketplace. The Partner must manually Activate the item to publish it to the Marketplace by pressing the Activate button.
- Any item intended for sale on the Roll20 Marketplace that has been Activated will appear on the Active tab. These items are live on the Roll20 Marketplace and customers are able to browse for the item and purchase it.
OR
Any item intended for sale on a Supported Marketplace ONLY such as DMsGuild or Pathfinder Infinite that has been Activated will appear on the Active-Supported tab. A UUID will be assigned to the Item which can then be copied over to a listing on their respective marketplaces to link their Roll20 content.
Navigating to the Item Management Page
There are two ways to access your Item Management Page:
First, by navigating to the Manage My Items link found in the dropdown menu to the right of your username. You must be logged in to the account that is tied to your Marketplace Storefront.
Manage My Items ≠ My Marketplace Items!
My Marketplace Items is a completely different page that all Roll20 Users have access to. This page lists all of your purchases made on the Roll20 Marketplace.
You can also access the Item Management Page via the link in the upper right-hand corner of your Publisher Profile Page.
Item Management Page Features
The Item Management Page will look like the screenshot below:
CREATE NEW ITEM Button
This button will create a new Item Listing. A popup window will appear for you to set the Name, where the content will be sold, and the Item Type of the listing. Saving your choices will create a new listing on the Draft Tab. If there are multiple items on a given tab, they are always ordered from the oldest (top) to the newest (bottom).
Item Types are covered in greater detail in the Item Types and Categories article.
HISTORY Button
Every individual item listing has its own History record. It will include a timestamp of when an item's status is changed (Draft, Pending, Approved, Activated) and it also records any notes sent by you or from Roll20 Marketplace Staff.
The HISTORY button at the top of this page will display ALL recorded correspondence between you and the Roll20 Marketplace Staff for all of your submissions.
Draft Item Tally
This is a simple counter of how many Draft items you currently have out of your 10-item maximum.
You can have more than 10 items in Draft status if you have a full stack and either you or Roll20 sends one of your items back to draft. This will not endanger any existing items. You will just be unable to create any more new listings until you have less than 10 items in Draft.
Weekly Item Submission Tally
This is a simple counter of how many items you have submitted this week. The submission limit resets weekly on Monday at 0:00 (midnight) GMT.
Marketplace submissions are currently limited to 5 per week, but we are happy to accommodate special requests for certain circumstances. If you are in need of assistance, please leave a note in your 5th submission of the week.
